In supporting our mild autistic gifted child, we try to SMILE a lot (even though we always encountered bumps) and the SMILE acronym contains the basis of what we try to support our gifted child with.

This site is a compilation of links and information on gifted children with hyperlexia, with diagnosis of mild autism which is also known as 2E, for all to reference and build more knowledge. Gifted children enjoy challenges in life and love to learn to the extent of acceleration. They easily get bored in normal traditional learning school if they are not fully stimulated.
